Reuben Dog featured at Wrigley Field: Summer 2014 From Chicago Tribune

Decade Dogs celebrate 100 years of Hot Dogs at Chicago's Wrigley Field

“Decade Dogs: As part of the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field, Levy Restaurants (which handles Wrigley concessions) is getting creative, linking specialty hot dogs to specific decades. The quartet here are the four that will be available all season long and cost $7 each. On top is the 1970s-themed pulled-pork dog, the shredded pork doused in Uncle Dougie’s barbecue sauce and topped with cole slaw and fried onions; for a nontraditional dog, this is pretty good. Under that is the 1960s Buffalo-wing dog, which tops the hot dog with pulled chicken in Buffalo-style sauce and topped with blue cheese cole slaw; the flavors on this creation are so strong that Levy might just as well have omitted the wiener. Third from the top is the 1920s entry, which is a straight-up classic Chicago dog, sport peppers and all, no explanation necessary. On the bottom is the Reuben hot dog (one claim — and there are several — holds that the Reuben was created around 1914), which is topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and shredded Swiss cheese; I’m not crazy about corned beef, but I love kraut on a hot dog.”
