Culver’s Rocks the Reuben with the Hot Selling Reuben Melt!

The Reuben Report caught up with the famous Culver’s restaurant after indulging in one of their awesome Reuben Melts and asking the obvious question: who thunk this up?!!! We reached out to their corporate headquarters and were told that their recipes receive input from multiple parties, so there is no one master chef creating recipes for their 500 locations in 22 states. Here’s what they told us about their creation…

Who is the typical Culver’s customer?

A: Culver’s is a family restaurant that caters to a wide range of guests. From those on-the-go to a family looking for a nice sit-down meal, there is something for everyone at Culver’s.

What motivates you when you develop menu items?

A:  Quality. We pride ourselves on using the most delicious, wholesome ingredients to provide the best meal possible for our guests.

Tell us about your featured Reuben recipe.

A: We use hand-trimmed, lean corned beef, cured in delicately seasoned brine and slow cooked. Piled high with melted, real Wisconsin Swiss, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing, all sandwiched between slices of lightly buttered, toasted rye bread.

What are your feelings on the place of the Reuben – and Reuben treatments – in American cuisine?

A: The Reuben is a classic sandwich and at Culver’s provides a great variety option for our guests.
